Pop’s Hot Diggity Dogs: Anthony’s granddaughters helped name the cart (he added the Pop’s piece) and influenced the menu (twin dogs 2/$5) so the latest venture for the 28-year veteran chef is a family affair. Anthony runs the kitchen at the DoubleTree Inn in Windsor Locks by day — then packs the cart and parks on Broad St. in front of Waddell School on summer nights, sharply dressed in trademark red and gold. “I’m trying to set up a brand you can spot from anywhere,” says Anthony, who is also a certified basketball and volleyball referee. “It shows integrity, shows that I’m happy doing what I’m doing.” What makes his cart different from others? “It’s the personal touch and the love for what you do and what you put into it.”
